Buckland has received a notice from the Servicio de Administración Tributaria (Mexican Customs Authority) regarding the recent closure of traffic in both directions on the Nuevo Laredo / Monterrey Highway due to flooding.
This flooding is having the most severe impact at the 185 km marker as well as the 162 km marker.
Alternate routes are being recommended and include:
- Anahuac-Colombia Highway
- Ribereña Highway and detour to free toll highway to Nuevo Laredo
Authorities will be providing support to stranded vehicles and will establish an auxiliary station on at the 26 km marker (old Garita station).
As a contingency plan, Pedimentos already validated and paid through Nuevo Laredo Customs, can be presented to cross through Reynosa and Matamoros customs.
