Overview
The CBSA is currently experiencing delays in processing outbound messages transmitted through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and the eManifest Portal. While inbound trade data is being received and processed, clients may not be receiving acknowledgements, reject messages, or notices (e.g., RNS, completeness notices).
This issue affects all clients and service providers transmitting trade data via EDI and the eManifest Portal.
Current Impact
- Inbound EDI and eManifest data is being accepted and processed.
- Outbound messages are delayed, including:
- Acknowledgements
- Reject messages
- Notices (e.g., RNS)
- eManifest Portal users may see trade data stuck in “Updating” status.
- No monetary penalties will be issued for failure to transmit data during this outage and for two hours following system resumption.
Action Required
