Update: This issue was resolved and all systems are functioning normally.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has notified stakeholders that they are presently experiencing delays in sending outbound messages (ie acknowledgements, reject messages and notices such as RNS, Completeness Notices through EDI and Portal). However, the CBSA continues to receive and process EDI throughout these delays as they work to resolve this issue.
The CBSA is taking contingency measures and recommends that highway carriers proceeding to the border during this outage ensure all drivers are provided with the correct paperwork to present at arrival. The CBSA will accept paper documentation during an outage and no AMPS penalties will be issued for ACI related infractions resulting from this outage. For more information about CBSA contingency procedures, please see this link https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/eservices/contingency-urgence/menu-eng.html .
Buckland will continue to monitor this situation and will reach out with any relevant updates.
