CERS to replace CAED, Going Live December 2019

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced that the Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED) will be replaced by the Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS) by January 2020.

CAED was originally launched in 1998 by the CBSA and Statistics Canada to allow exporters or their agents to electronically report goods directly to the Government of Canada. CERS is a web-based reporting method for exports and has the same data requirements as CAED. With the implementation of CERS, the paper B13A Export Declaration form will be eliminated.
