October 12, 2023 – Wait times at the Colombia Bridge crossing in Laredo are approximately one hour due to commercial truck inspections.
100% of trucks are being inspected by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and it is not known how long these inspections will be carried out. Customs and Border Protection at the Laredo Field Office has stated that “Following our contingency plans, World Trade Bridge is available to accept shipments with cargo/loads as an alternative entry point into the US through the Port of Laredo.”
We encourage those with shipments crossing at the Colombia Bridge in Laredo to take preventive action and forward urgent shipments to your Buckland Customs Service Representative to prioritize your shipments.
