Trilateral Deal Reached to Lift Steel and Aluminum Tariffs

A deal has been reached between Canada, the United States and Mexico to end the Section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum, as well as Canada’s retaliatory tariffs. President Trump and Prime Minister Trudeau participated in several calls over the course of the week, resulting in this announcement that will end the tariffs that have been in place for over a year.

This agreement will result in the removal of the 25 percent tariffs on steel, and the 10 percent tariffs on aluminum.
