Trump Removes Tariffs on Canadian Aluminum

A proclamation was issued on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, by U.S. President Donald Trump to remove tariffs on the import of raw aluminum from Canada. This proclamation follows the agreement which was reached between Canada and the United States last month to lift the 10% tariffs under Section 232.

It was also stated in this communication that the tariffs could be reinstated if there is a surge in imports of raw aluminum from Canada into the U.S.
