August 4, 2020 – Buckland Mexico is following all health and safety recommendations from Mexican authorities related to the COVID-19 pandemic. All of our personnel and staff have been trained on safety protocols, wear masks, practice social distancing, engage in shift rotation and daily tracking. An important portion of the training includes the understanding of third party protocols to respect guidelines and safety controls.
Terminal ports and warehouse facilities in Airports require additional steps in order to complete inspection prior customs clearance and maneuvers at the airport that could result in an increase of time of processing shipments.
As the situation evolves we encourage all Mexican Importers of Record to continue taking precautions and adhere to the Airport and Ocean Port offices cutoff time of 13:00 CST to process priority Air shipments the same day and minimize risks to ensure customs clearance.
Major airport warehouse hours of operation schedule during COVID19 to take into consideration:
AIRPORT TERMINALS
Mexico City Airport:
Inspection prior to customs clearance set Monday to Friday from 9:00hrs to 17:00hrs.
- Regular loading maneuver at airport warehouses 9:00hrs to 16:59hrs.
- Terminal airport overtime request to be submitted before 16:59hrs. (Subject to availability of Airport staff)
- Customs clearance process schedule 9:00 to 20:00hrs.
- Specific airport warehouses have reduced hours of operation. Please ensure your Freight Forward/Traffic Teams receive and communicate their hours of operation directly.
Toluca Airport at FedEx Terminal:
Inspection prior to customs clearance Group B schedule set Monday to Friday from 11:00hrs to 18:00hrs.
- Loading maneuver at FedEx port 9:00hrs to 18:00hrs.
- Terminal airport overtime requests to be submitted before 16:59hrs. (Subject to availability)
- Customs clearance process schedule 9:00hrs to 20:00hrs.
Apodaca Airport/Querétaro Airport/Guadalajara Airport:
Inspection prior to customs clearance schedule set Monday to Friday from 9:00hrs to 16:00hrs.
- Loading maneuver at Airport terminals 10:00hrs to 18:00hrs. (OT request must be submitted in the portal before 16:59hrs).
- Terminal airport Overtime request to be submitted before 16:59hrs. (Subject to availability of staff)
- Regular Customs clearance process schedule 10:00hrs to 18:00hrs.

OCEAN PORT TERMINALS
Manzanillo, Veracruz, Altamira y Lázaro Cardenas
Inspection prior to customs clearance schedule set Monday to Friday from 9:00hrs to 15:59hrs.
- Loading maneuvers at Ocean Port terminals 8:00hrs to 18:00hrs. (OT request must be submitted in the portal before 15:59hrs).
- Terminal Ocean Ports Overtime request to be submitted before 16:59hrs. (Only apply within the window of the first 72hrs after ETA port).
- Regular Customs clearance process schedule 8:00hrs to 20:00hrs.
