As an update to the message that was sent yesterday regarding the impact from the storm damage in Laredo, Texas, we are pleased to be able to provide this new information regarding the impact on border crossings and customs operations.
Yesterday, Buckland met with Customs authorities for Mexico and the United States, and the following agreement has been reached.
- US and Mexican Customs will remain open, as long as there is a truck in the line,
- Mexican Customs will send an official bulletin with the agreement,
- All 8 lines of the Laredo crossing will be open for Laredo and Colombia Pedimentos
- Both Customs authorities will make the effort to resume operations Tuesday May 30, 2017
